Description

Abandoned Rail Brewing Co. is located in the beautiful area of the Kettle Valley Rail Trail on the Naramata Bench in Penticton, British Columbia. You can access the brewery on the KVR Trail by bicycle or by foot.  Owners and operators, Scott and his wife Nicole Breier, purchased the seven-acre property in 2018, and along with brewmaster and longtime friend Peter Schulz converted what was known formerly as The Trail Store into their brewery space. They reworked the property, doubling the building size to accommodate the brewery operations, and reworked the farm property to grow five acres of barley which they use to make their ales.  Abandoned Rail crafts European-inspired beers by their German-trained brewmaster. Owners Scott and Nicole fell in love with craft beer in their younger years and set out to create a place that would help people connect in a safe and inclusive place, over beer.  It was around that time that Peter, their long-time friend, finished up his brewmaster program in Berlin, Germany. After a few years of convincing, Peter finally decided to join the team and together the three of them made the dream of the farm brewery a reality.
