Smell
Classic Pilsner aromas of lightly toasted bread, crackers, a touch of grassy hops, and mild pepper.
Taste
A far more subtle flavour than you might expect from such a bold aroma profile. Smooth in the mouth, bringing a touch of that warm bread flavour and light black pepper. A little later in the flavour, as it warms on the tongue, you’ll get a touch more of the green hops. Turns to a slightly dry finish with some minerality left on the palate.
Pairing
A perfect pub beer, anything with some meat off the grill would do nicely.
Sight
Pours a beautiful golden colour with a clear body and light carbonation. A pillowy head of foam pours from the can, slowly melting away.

More than a few radical craft breweries make their home in Portland, Oregon, and Breakside is making the most of it. Knocking out craft beer since 2010, Breakside Brewery has become a staple in the Portland area and even expanded outside Portland itself, opening up a larger-scale production facility in Milwaukie, OR. Multiple other locations have sprung up over the years, allowing Breakside to provide their tasty brew at a scale that can cross the continent, but also allowing each location to brew their own unique beers. Now they cultivate the neighborhood and the world with equal efficiency and intimacy. Quite the balancing act for a crew that started in a basement. The name says it all - the Breakside Pilsner is a classical inspired take on the German style, bringing light spices, bready backbone, and a crisp refreshing kick. Serves well at 8°C and can cellar for around six months.
