Description

Brothers Ron and Rick Chapman opened a brewpub together in 1996, realizing their dream of creating craft brews together in their hometown of Coronado. At that time, they were one of five craft breweries, an industry that was largely dominated by industrial breweries.   The brewpub aimed to create the kind of space where friends could enjoy great beer and good food, all in a very laid-back atmosphere. Fast forward to today where the brewery has grown exponentially from a small space to a company that has a production capacity thanks to a new facility in the Tecolote Canyon area. The Knoxville facility produces over 60,000 barrels of beer!  CBC has won numerous awards during the years including the title of “World Beer Cup Champion, Best Mid-Sized Brewery, & Brewmaster”.  Known for producing hoppy West Coast-style ales, and in particular, their “Weekend Vibes” IPA, which is their flagship ale. Big Weekend pays homage to Weekend Vibes, and to the legacy that was created over five years ago.  And what a legacy indeed! Weekend Vibes is what put Coronado on the map. Thanks to that beer, they are now available in over 12 different countries worldwide and 14 states across the USA.
