Description
It was a dream come true really for one 25-year-old named Sebastian Peterson who is currently producing his own beer label, Curious Creatures out of Boardwalk Brewing. The Kwantlen Polytechnic Brewing Operations grad works under the guidance and expertise of Boardwalk’s head brewer Miguel Moligna. This is a great way to get up and get going without having to shell out all the money needed for the equipment not to mention location, and it allows Peterson a certain amount of freedom with little capital needed. Peterson has a small team that he works with, his sister Tatiana who is an Emily Carr graduate is the mastermind behind the evocative labels, a magical world of “curious creatures” which is in reference to us: we as humans are curious, we like to explore and above all try new things. Alfred is the star of each can, and each beer tells some sort of story about Alfred and his adventures. Peterson wants his beer to reflect the agricultural terroir so to speak of British Columbia, much like wine can reflect where its grapes are grown. Peterson crafts his beers using traditional methods, province sourced ingredients and strives to have every component of their product to be end recyclable.
