Description

Locally owned and operated in Calgary, Alberta, they were the very first small brewery in Alberta (2014).  They started very small, basically started in a one-car garage and grew into what they are today in the neighborhood of Ramsey which is known as Calgary’s “Brewing District”. They took over a former garage “Yale motorcycle shop” and redesigned the space to fit the brewer and tasting kitchen, frequented by the loyal locals who love their products.  Dandy was started by two high school friends-Ben Leon and Dylan Nosal who met up again by chance as adults and learned they shared a common interest.  They were homebrewers who through trial and error learned how to create some great brews. Little by little the team grew to include two other friends that were called on to help with their various expertise in order to expand and really hone in on the art of professional brewing.  In 2014 the newly created foursome opened their doors. Their brewery is unlike the rest, with their focus on bringing British-inspired ales to Alberta in what is called a Nano-Brewery.   This beer is brewed with the crystal-clear water from the Rocky Mountains. This is a classic take on an American Lager recipe, super fresh, very, very crisp with a beautiful mineral edge. Serve chilled at 3C.
