Profile
Smell
A straight shot through the senses of the clean, toasted malt backbone, mixed in you’ll find a touch of grassy hops to give it some character.
Taste
Taste follows the nose fairly closely, you’ll get a slightly sweet and toasty kick of malt on the tongue at first, and most of the taste has it for a backbone. But there’s a touch of grassy, leafy green that springs up as it warms on the tongue. Fairly smooth body with a slight dry turn near the end and the taste chops off. Solid Pilsner experience down the line.
Pairing
A great beer for a well stocked cheese platter.
Sight
Pours a bright golden colour with a clear body and low carbonation. A frizzy finger’s worth of bubbles rides the top of the glass.

Description
Working from the middle of the table-top, District Brewing Co. is a small, Regina-based brewer of craft beers. Despite being a smaller setup, they produce a wide array of styles that runs the gamut and satisfies the palate of all beer drinkers. Sourcing their material locally and aiming at classic styles, District has produced some impressive results from traditional methods. But they’re not afraid to break away from tradition where it makes sense, using updated tech and new combinations of malt or hops. They have master brewer Mbaku Hamidu Admau to thank for their innovation and quality. If you’re passing through Regina, stop by and grab a pint directly from their hands. The German Pilsner Lager is exactly as the name implies - made in the classic style with Noble hops and late-hopped to give some shifting character during the taste. Serves well at 8°C and can cellar for a while, but why wait?
