Profile
Smell
Slightly musty, not going to lie, but musty in a good way if that is at all possible. Heady, with notes of lemon-orange and coriander flower. Tangy grapefruit with a hint of bitterness on the nose.
Taste
Cream of wheat on the palate, with toasty bread notes that are mixed with orange peel, again that Coriander pops out and dried grapefruit. The bitterness is balanced out with sweet notes of fresh apricot. Slightly earthy. Tart and crisp.
Pairing
All things triple cream, in terms of cheese like Brie, Pumpkin flan pairs extremely well with the flavour profiles of the apricot beer and it also goes great with a true chef’s salad.
Sight
Hazy with a fluffy large head and golden yellow core.

Description
Evil Twin Brewery is a gypsy brewery that originated in Denmark. It was founded by Jeppe Jarnit-Bjergsø in 2010. A ‘gypsy’ brewery is a brewery that does not operate as an official production unit, but rather collaborates with other brewers to produce their limited-edition and one-off beers, as well as seasonals and one-off products available internationally as well as domestically. Jeppe, the owner is a former school teacher in Copenhagen, also owns a retail space there that imports and distributes craft beers throughout Europe. His long history with beer has sponsored his commitment to also opening a bar in Brooklyn called Tørst which is dedicated to serving only craft beers. And if that wasn’t even enough, Jeppe also co-authored a book titled Food & Beer with Chef Celebrity Daniel Burns who ran a Michelin-starred restaurant called Luksus that also shares a space with Tørst. Jeppe Jarnit-Bjergsø, is one of the most influential names in the craft beer industry and is widely respected for his projects outside of Evil Twin Brewing. In January of 2019, Evil Twin brewing finally opened their first brick and mortar space in Ridgewood, Queens, New York City. Their tap room opened at the same location in October of the same year.
