Profile

Smell

A mild nose on this beer delivers light, muddles tropical fruit aromas combined with a hop profile of flowery and herbal scents.

Taste

The taste follows the nose, tasting of muddled tropical fruit flavours with a touch of grapefruit zest and lively hops. Moving from a floral flavour into a fresher, greener taste, the hops evolve on the palate to balance out the fruit. The body is light and smooth, with a pleasant finish and the slight aftertaste of floral hops.

Pairing

A great brunch beer – dig into a cheese omelet and fruit salad.

Sight

Pours a light golden colour with a hazy body and low carbonation. A frothy head pours from the can but slowly recedes to a thin film on top of the beer.

Description

The germ of Flying Boats Brewing was first given life in the mind of owner Marc Melanson in the mid-1990s, but it would take years of brewing home kits in the garage before he felt ready to bring for the big show. Focusing on Maritime inspired beers, Flying Boats became the real deal in the summer of 2015. It only took six months for the brewery to massively expand their brewing operation. They moved from hand bottled to a full can system and busted open a proper taproom a few years later. Now their work is making its way across the country in trucks, boats, and by flying - whatever gets their handiwork to the masses as soon as possible. The Juice Box is a New England IPA with a load of hops that give this beer’s flavour serious legs. The wealth of hops takes a journey on the palate, visiting floral, herbal, and earthy notes. Serves well at 8°C and should be enjoyed right away.
