Profile
Smell
Well there’s no hiding from it: it smells like Cherries. A whole lot of cherries. But if you take some time to sniff, you’ll find more depth of cherry flesh and pits, along with a touch of citrus.
Taste
While it may seem nothing but cherries awaits you, you’ll be pretty surprised. The cherry flavour is definitely the star of the show, but there’s spice and malt jumping on stage with them. The spices and malt provide an interesting floor for the taste, while the cherries range up into the sweeter and sharper flavour territory. The mouthfeel is dry and cutting, ending quickly.
Pairing
Maybe take this one on all by itself. It’s a lot of flavour to wrangle.
Sight
Pours an amber colour with a clear body and low carbonation. A small head from the pour quickly dissipates.

Description
Founded in 2018, High Key Brewing is the handiwork of Daniel Rommens and Madline Conn. Built on a foundation of simple, straightforward process that delivers high-quality beer, High Key has been seeing a lot of success since their arrival. After four years they began searching for a new location to accommodate the amount of uptick that was demanded in their production cycle. Early 2023 saw them move into a new facility and up their staff to 25 dedicated souls producing tasty brews. The taps in their new room run the gamut of styles, with a special attention paid to their flagship Pink IPA and the London Fog Porter, two beers that have always been a hit since they emerged from the vats. High Key refers to bright lighting in a scene, and this brewery is certainly a bright light within the Saskatchewan brewing scene. The Sour Cherry isn’t hiding any of what it is – a sour ale with big, bold flavours of cherries. Serves well at 8°C and can stay in the cellar for up to 6 months.
