Description

Little Brown Jug opened their doors in 2016 in what is Winnipeg’s famous historic exchange district.  A joint collaboration between Kevin Selch and Brian Sharfstein and Brian’s wife Pam Cipryk.  Kevin, while working for the government in Ottawa, had access to travel around Ontario, Quebec and Vermont and explore all the micro brewery scene. Coming back to Winnipeg, he set off to construct and build a micro brewery business in the very heart of the city.  Backed by one stellar brewer master, Bernie Wieland, who has built up quite a reputation for himself by gaining some solid experience working overseas and around Canada, heads up the program.  Bernie had gained his education at the esteemed Siebel Institute and earned his Masters diploma from UC Davis in California. Brian, well Brian is the buildings owner and is a solid beer enthusiast who shares Kevin’s desire to be part of the urban renewal happening in the Historic District.  For the third year in a row, Queer beer has been produced as the official beer of Winnipeg’s Pride Festival. For every can sold, $1 goes toward supporting Pride Winnipeg.  This lager is fruited with Lime and Cherry, fresh on the palate and very juicy. Slightly earthy in the background, hints of honey and melon in the background. Clean and crisp. To be served well-chilled at a cool 4C.
