Smell
Warm toasted grain and slightly sweet flowers make up most of it, but in the background there’s pepper and citrus zest.
Taste
Strangely the bitterness of the hops comes up first but then shifts away and lets the sweetness and malt shine through. The hops aren’t done though, while the malt and floral elements are playing, there are spices and earthy character coming in the room. Finishes up with a slightly chalky feeling in the mouth.
Pairing
Get fancy with the fruit of the sea: seared Tuna with sautéed Asparagus.
Sight
Pours a light golden colour with a clear body and medium carbonation. A frothy head of small, white bubbles rests on top of the pour.

Description
Luppolo Brewing is the work of two couples: Eleanor and Ryan teamed up with Fede and Anique to bring their brewing dream to life. All of them grew up with large, tightly knit families that appreciate good food enjoyed with everyone and especially with a great pint in their hands. Ryan brewed at home but worked hard to bring up his game for the brewery proper and nearly ten years later all their hard work is evident in the popularity of their taproom and the beer that flows in it. Dozens of beers are available when you pull up a chair, many being one-offs that Ryan and the crew have experimented to discover and meet the quality check mark. The Cielo is a Slovenian-style pilsner that’s dry-hopped with old world strains for an evolving flavour that’s spicy with a strong malt. Serves well at 8°C and can cellar for up to three months.
