Profile
Smell
There’s a lot of hops announcing themselves on the nose in this beer, in the background you’ll get the caramel and malt components.
Taste
All in all a pretty laid back flavour that relies on the slightly sweet and smooth malt for most of the heavy lifting. The hops are way in the background, giving off a little attitude of leafy greens and earth for some balance in the taste. Mouthfeel is smooth but the finish has a bit of dryness to it. A touch of loamy aftertaste but only a hint on your palate.
Pairing
By the brewers own admission the beer is best suited for a tasty pizza - do you need another reason to have one on its way?
Sight
Pours a light honey colour with mostly clear body and light carbonation. A respectable head of fluffy foam rests on the top of the glass.

Description
Growing up in Yellowknife instilled the isolation, beauty, and potential of the far north directly into everything Fletcher Stevens has done. So after a brief career as a mechanic, Stevens decided to take up a quest to bring those qualities to the wide world. Beginning with a home-brew kit purchased by his wife and business partner Miranda, Stevens worked hard to build the first recipes of NWT Brewing. In 2014, the couple took the leap, opening up the NWT Brewing Company, fronted by the Woodyard Brewhouse and Eatery. Now this small craft brewing couple's handiwork is available for your enjoyment. Despite the challenges of the 2020's, NWT has recently expanded to a bigger and better brewing facility, to ensure their beers make it across the continent and beyond. The Kicksled is a cream ale in all its glory - smooth body, slightly sweet malt, and just the right touch of hops to bring it all into balance. Serves well at 6°C and can cellar for three to six months.
