Description
A collaboration between two of Saskatchewan’s best craft breweries, Pile O’ Bones and Nokomis. This partnership between head brewers Nathan Kary and Jeff Allport has led them to win the prestigious 2024 Canada Beer Cup with Quark, Strangeness, and Charm. Saskatchewan has one of the best craft brewing cultures in the world and is widely recognized for its diversity and consistent quality. Pile O’Bones was founded in 2016 by Morrison, Kary, Brent Babyak, and Glenn Valgardson. Located in Regina, the name is a historical reference to the original Cree name for the city. Known for their deep Saskatchewan roots that influence every aspect of their brewery. Pile O’Bones has won numerous awards for its craft ales, both locally and nationwide. Nokomis was founded in 2014 by Allport in the tiny rural community of Nokomis. Nokomis has a reputation for creating small-batch unfiltered craft ales. All of the founders knew each other for years, as they were all home brewers who were in constant competition with each other. The breweries merged in 2015 but maintain separate operations. The collaboration behind this beer was to create an approachable summer wheat beer that had some spice to it, just enough to make it interesting and complex.
