Grilled salmon burgers, smoked mackerel or arancini.

Description

If sustainability is your thing, then Sierra Nevada is for you.  Started from scratch using old dairy equipment, the catchphrase “reduce, reuse, recycle” was the business model. Their commitment is strong: high-quality, low impact brewing, even refusing chances to brew cheaply and more easily to stay committed to their focus of low impact.  Sierra Nevada diverts 99.8% of their waste from the landfill and built the first LEED platinum production brewery in the U.S.A.  They are also the largest solar array in the craft beer biz. 2.5 Megawatts to be exact, or enough energy to power 380 homes for a year. There is extreme attention to detail when it comes to their beer production.  And if that wasn’t enough, Sierra Nevada actually owns land to grow their own grains.  Torpedo was given its name after the custom dry-hopping device, the Hop Torpedo that was created for Sierra Nevada. This West Coast IPA beer is juicy and unrelenting in flavour. Serve and drink at a cool 8C.
