Description
Superflux was started by Co-founders Adam Henderson and Matt Kohlen. The idea between two friends was to make the beer that they wanted to drink, a style they deemed “hop-forward” kind of IPA, something they wanted to see more of. Apparently so did others. Their small experiment grew into a larger idea of something grander, and the bug to create craft beers was then instilled in the both of them. They started off small, utilizing equipment and empty tanks in other Vancouver breweries such as Callister, Dogwood and Strathcona. They became a contract brewery, going from brewery to brewery making their beers. It took them quite a while but they finally were able to open their own establishment in 2020 in downtown Vancouver and have been cranking out some of the best IPAs in Canada ever since. And if you are a fan of gourmet hot dogs, try their kitchen that is attached to the brewery and is managed by chef Justin Lee, formerly of Crow Bar. For the majority of the brewery’s lifetime, they have had only two core beers, however in the last few months they have released this beer, Easy Tiger which is a hazy wheat pale ale. While their focus continues to be steadfast on anything hoppy and bright, they do release the occasional lager, pilsner and stout.
